Mesa West Medical

Kevin Nelson has been working is some aspect of medicine
since graduating from West High School and joining the
Navy as a corpsman. After his military service he
attended California State University Bakersfield and
received his Bachelors in Nursing. He worked 16 years at
Mercy Hospital as a certified ICU Nurse and coordinator.
In the late 80's he returned to Cal State to pursue his
interest in accounting passing the CPA exam in 1991.
Kevin obtained his Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician
Assistant Certificates from Stanford University and worked
in Family Practice in Taft and Bakersfield for 6 years prior
to joining Mesa West.

Kevin enjoys Civil War reenacting which he does one
weekend a month from April to October at Fort Tejon. His
other interests are motorcycle riding, camping and
relaxing in Grover Beach with his wife Gail. He is very
proud of his children Erin who attends the University of
California Santa Barbara and Brian who is at Cal Poly in
San Louis Obispo.
